Marek Wodziński, PhD
Principal Investigator & Deep Learning Expert
With extensive experience in deep learning and its applications to medical imaging, Marek leads the MultiGeoMed project as Principal Investigator and Deep Learning Expert. His research spans medical image analysis, image registration, and shape analysis, with a strong focus on developing advanced geometric deep learning methods. Marek currently works as a Senior Researcher at Sano Science and as an Assistant Professor at AGH University of Kraków, where he works on integrating multimodal geometric representations to improve diagnostic and analytical workflows. Outside of research, he enjoys exploring new destinations and staying active — most often through long walks, running, or road cycling.
Wojciech Szymański
PhD Candidate & Deep Learning Scientist
With twenty years of experience in software development, data engineering, and predictive analytics, Wojciech has helped leading enterprises in retail, finance, and travel design and build scalable, high-performance data platforms. As a co-founder of insightify.io, a data consulting boutique, he works closely with clients to craft tailored data solutions and supports sales with technical expertise. His growing interest in deep learning and its biomedical applications led him to join Sano, where he developed and optimised ML pipelines for stroke detection. He is now conducting PhD research on automatic medical shape reconstruction using multimodal geometric deep learning at the AGH University of Krakow, at the Faculty of Computer Science, in collaboration with Sano. Outside of work, he enjoys family time and being outdoors, most often on his bike or out for a run.
